Someone’s always listening

We are living in a world where every word we write through email (gmail) or through social media, someone out there is waiting to pounce on and make a judgement. It may or may not be even remotely linked to you but you form a system through which the moods of the world is projected.

Listening Post is a project by Ear Studio that listens to what people are saying in forums/chats/social space and projects into small LED screens arranged and given voice in harmony to read them out. Not all things but things that being with ‘I am…’

Dead drops

There’s so much to write about this.

Aram Bartholl, a German media artist started this project. He is an amazingly cool dude. You have to check his work out.

He did this while he was an artist in residence at Eyebeam, a non-profit art and technology center dedicated to demonstrating new media as a significant genre of cultural production.

Dead drops are live in 5 locations in NYC already.

Art installation that speaks to the onlookers

Complicated idea, simple execution. Given the censorship rules, fear of being heard, degree of shyness, US is probably one of the very few countries who could do something like this. Just the novelty of it makes it incredible. Kudos to Carlos J. Gómez de Llarena who created and executed it.

Amazingly designed digital sign post

Bloomberg headquarters in NY has an amazingly designed digital sign post in their reception, designed by Lisa Strausfeld from Pentagram, amazing design company.
